2014 Golden Globes fashion: Redemption red carpet for Lena Dunham, Michelle ... - The Star-Ledger - NJ.com

We could have told "Girls" star Lena Dunham that her teal floral Prada with voluminous skirt would do her no favors at the 2013 Emmys, but we never would thought that a canary yellow mermaid gown from Zac Posen would do her justice.

Dunham is just one of several stars who more than redeemed past fashion flaws; check out her co-star Zosia Mamet, whose Emmy gown resembled a cross-dressing Hamburglar. She wore a beautifully tailored white gown trimmed with floral black beading.

And Michelle Dockery's gold-and-white gown with bizarre shoulders from the 2013 Golden Globes was forgotten the instant she stepped out in a princess-like Oscar de la Renta gown in oyster with gold sequins.

We'll be offering updates on the red carpet throughout the evening. Early bets for best dressed? "12 Years a Slave" nominee Lupita Nyong'o in a stunning red caped Ralph Lauren and Kerry Washington , showing off her baby bump in Balenciaga.
