The People's Choice Awards, it has been said, honors everyone who agrees to show up. We are not that generous. Let's start our roundup of the worst dressed with "Trophy Wife" star Malin Akerman, whose Cushnie Et Ochs frock wasn't low-cut so much as wide-cut. While the print was interesting, the dress was about a centimeter away from a wardrobe malfunction, and the geometry of the neckline was not pleasing (to anyone who is not a straight man, that is).
The usually delightful Anna Faris showed up in a washed-out beaded pantsuit last spotted on Rue McClanahan on an early episode of "Golden Girls." And speaking of which, Melissa Joan Hart's gold and pink floral gown could have begun life as upholstery on Blanche's couch. Also sporting '80s upholstery: "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale.

The trendy below-the-knee length was big on the red carpet, but it doesn't often work on anyone under 5-foot-10, even Jessica Alba, who wore a Jason Wu with corset detailing and visible zippers. It was indeed an awkward red carpet moment for "Awkward" star Molly Tarlov, whose otherwise inoffensive black strapless gown was inexplicably topped with a beaded black chiffon fabric gathered and belted at the waist. "Glee" star Naya Rivera, whose American Music Awards gown featured an enormous peek-a-boo slit in the front, was more demure this time around, but her tan, white and black color-blocked Michael Kors dress with an aggressively asymmetrical hem just looked odd.
And finally, Cassie Scerbo. It was a big night for the star of "Sharknado," which, believe it or not, was up for favorite TV movie. (It lost to "American Horror Story," alas.) Her red carpet look wasn't quite campy enough to be the sartorial equivalent of "Sharknado," but it was close: A white blazer with shiny silver detailing and and matching shorts piped with silver.
