The top 7 fearless fashion tips for all your Christmas parties - Daily Herald

55Here are your Top 7 Christmas party wardrobe statements:

1. Wear something memorable. It's a Christmas party for crying out loud, dress it up with some sequins, animal print or faux fur. You'll receive more compliments than ever and become memorable for knowing how to elegantly celebrate the festivities.

2. Break out those printed nylons and pair them with your ensemble proudly. Dots, stars or glitter are some of my favorites for the holiday and can be found at Anthropologie, H&M or even Forever 21. Feel like these may be a bit too young for you? To heck with rules, take a chance.

3. The options are endless with your hair. If you wear it down, spray some shimmer into it (hair shimmer can be found at most specialty hair or costume stores). If that's too much for you, then pull it into a bun with a festive bow or, try out the latest "Katniss" braid for trend sake.

4. A bangin' bag! I'm not suggesting you go out and splurge on a new purchase this season for yourself (or am I?), I'm just saying to dress it up! Grab a scarf and throw it around the handles. Or if you're a thrift seeker like me, hop on over to Deseret Industries or Savers to see what beaded brilliance you can find for a clutch.

5. Accessorize. Layer those chains, overload those earlobes, express yourself and your love for Christmas through your jewels. Gold chains and sparkles are everywhere in the stores right now, if you don't have the money for them, then find a good DIY project to upcycle something you already have.

6. If you've already applied some gold, green or red polish on the tips of those fingers, then you've nailed it. If you're unsure of how to dress up those hands yourself, you can always follow tutorials on Youtube.com, or visit a local spa.

7. Last but not least, rock a good coat. Bring out those oversized vintage boucle coats you've had no reason to wear. Or spruce up the one you currently have with a fancy scarf or festive gold, jeweled buttons.

Hope your Christmas parties are brighter this year, SSRqtis the season for audacious style!
