When it's your job to scan the internet day in and day out for the best trends and better deals from the most efficient retailers, you get pretty good at it. With that in mind (and in hopes of learning a thing or two), we asked some of the aces of the industry on the retail side as well as on the media end to let us know which sites captured the largest percentage of their paychecks. Take a look below.

Where did you spend the most money online this year?

Stephanie Trong, co-editor in chief, Fashionista: "A combination of Saks Fifth Avenue and eBay. Saks because they have fantastic sales—I actually just went a little crazy last week on some Vanessa Bruno blazers I had been eying. Ebay because I had been trying to track down the Isabel Marant Sohane coat I missed the first time around, and two colors popped up. I couldn't decide. Other than that, it was sprinkled amongst the usual suspects: Barneys, La Garçonne, and Net-a-Porter.

Danielle Kosann, co-founder of The New Potato: "Net-a-Porter. The black hole of shopping!"

Connie Wang, senior global editor at Refinery29: "In terms of quantity, Pixie Market. I always find the most unique, special-feeling products there that are inexpensive enough where I don't feel guilty for buying in bulk. In terms of actual money spent, I'd have to say CB2. I just moved into a new apartment, and I had to get a new couch!"

Elle Strauss, fashion director of Shopbop: "Shopbop obviously! Also, eBay for its unique finds—as a stylist I love virtually searching for that diamond in the rough!"

Erica Cerulo and Claire Mazur, founders of Of a Kind:

Erica: "Of a Kind—I cannot tell a lie. My Amazon Prime membership also got quite the workout." Claire: "Of a Kind, duh. True fact, though."

Laurel Pinson, Stylecaster editor-in-chief: "I actually did a ton of shopping in actual, honest-to-biscuits, real-life stores this year! Online, I'd have to say Net-a-Porter. (One for a friend, one for me. One for a family member, one for me.)"

Kenzie Bryant, associate editor of Racked: "The Outnet. It's like they know me."

Leslie Price, editor of Racked: "Amazon handled almost all my Christmas presents this year and the La Garçonne Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Whatever sales really did me in."
