Designer Michael Kors and actress-slash-lifestyle-guru Gwyneth Paltrow are joining fashion forces on an exclusive holiday collection, debuting tomorrow on her blog, goop.com. The line features three limited-edition pieces created specifically for Goop, as well as accessories hand-picked by the pair from Kors’ existing offerings, including aviator sunglasses and a calf leather tote.

“I thought it would be wonderful to reinvent some of my favorite vintage Michael Kors looks that I have kept for years, that I wear over and over,” says Paltrow, who has long counted Kors among her friends.

For the exclusive pieces, the pals selected lighter-weight materials for a gray cashmere cape ($2,595) and a merino peplum sweater in black or gray ($950), and jazzed up a black wool peacoat ($1,995) with gold buttons.

“We’ve got all these new fabrics, so today we can make a sweater that looks like it has some heft, but, in fact, won’t leave you melting once you step into your office,” explains Kors. “We’re also living in a time where the weather is wacky, so we need pieces that can better transition from one season to the next. As for the peacoat, we just thought it needed a little more glamour.”

Fans of the famous pals will no doubt Goop it right up.
