The People's Choice Awards may be the first major awards show of the season, but it's not an event for which one rings up, say, Mr. de La Renta. The fashion ran the gamut, from a handful of formal, dramatic gowns ("Project Runway" host Heidi Klum in a gorgeous, low-cut black Giorgio Armani with crystal embellishments) to lighthearted cocktail looks ("Gravity" star and triple award winner Sandra Bullock in a blue, green and white colorblocked dress with floral applique).
The standouts were Jennifer Hudson in a white long-sleeved wrap dress in the very in but very difficult to wear mid-calf length and co-host Kat Dennings of "Two Broke Girls" in a black strapless gown with a magenta rose print from David Meister.
