Never-before-seen Dior fashion photos revealed - CBS News

Mark Shaw was one of the most celebrated photographers of the 20th century, famed for intimate studies of the Kennedys and nearly 30 Life magazine covers. After Shaw's untimely death in 1969, his work lay untouched for nearly three decades. When his son, David Shaw, took possession, it was a treasure trove. They found thousands of rolls of film, including many never-published photos for the fashion house Dior. The images are featured in a new book "Dior Glamour,"photography by Mark Shaw, and are available for sale from the online luxury marketplace 1stdibs.com.

Featuring Dior Autumn-Winter 1957 haute couture line. Shaw, a notorious charmer, knew how to get models to relax. This image taken in the Bois de Boulogne on a tram captured his vision of "Gay Paris" - a capitol that he personally loved and wanted to show was filled with elegant, well-turned-out women.
