Philip Rivers was born in Alabama, went to college in North Carolina and plays professionally in southern California, none of which explains why he wore a bolo tie on Sunday after beating a team from Missouri.
But here’s Rivers, rocking the cord tie with the ornamental fastening that’s popular in the American southwest.

Donovan McNabb and various Green Bay Packers players said they weren’t aware Philip Rivers could end the game in a tie.
But, hey, when you hand the once-undefeated Chiefs their first home loss of the year you can only wear a bolo tie and celebrate like a Pixie Stix-addled four-year-old once per season.
I guess Philip Rivers picked today.
