PCC fashion show uses household items - Arizona Daily Star

Imagine a dress made out of foil and macaroni.

It could happen at Pima Community College’s No Fashion — Fashion Show fundraiser Friday.

The first-time event pits high school students against one another in a battle of creativity. Participants will grab a box of random materials that include things like foil or safety pins and have two hours to create a runway-worthy garment.

Students are competing for a $500 PCC scholarship, sewing machine and other prizes.

The nonprofit student club Fashion Force — The Force of Good, based at the downtown campus, is producing the event. Proceeds benefit the club, which aims to introduce students to the retail industry.
