"There are a few wedding plans," the former 'NSYNC member, 34, told PEOPLE at the AMA nominee press conference. "We're doing it probably next fall."
Bass, who's hosting the pre-show for the Nov. 24 awards, is focusing on the wedding fashion right now.
"It's interesting because there's so many traditions that have just not been set yet for gay weddings," he says. "So when we're starting to plan we're like, 'Well, what is the dress attire?' "
And his answer to that? "We'll definitely be wearing tuxedos. We got to be looking fly in our tuxedos," he jokes to PEOPLE. "It will definitely be an event that will be high fashion."
The couple picked out David Yurman rings in keeping with their stylish theme. "Both of us picked them out together," he says. The original ring Bass used during his secret proposal in New Orleans "was just for the moment."
"We were down in New Orleans and it was last-minute," he reveals. "I ran from lunch one day and got a ring that we're not even using anymore."
Bass revealed those new rings to fans on Instagram, and says, "I'm really excited about them."
