I'm not just saying this because I don't care that much about football (OK, I am a little): This Superbowl is a little (a lot?) boring. The most exciting part of tonight's game has undoubtedly been the halftime show featuring Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, in the unlikeliest pairing since Mary Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy.
Sure, the Chili Peppers are '90s rock and Bruno Mars is top 40 pop, but somehow it just worked. And not only did they sound good, they looked good, too. Bruno Mars and his band wore shiny gold slim fitting blazers, all custom made by Saint Laurent. The Chili Peppers know that any true fashion icon finds a look and sticks to it. They're committed to their lookshirtless, long hair don't careat age 50 no less (Kiedis is 51, Flea is 50). (Kiedis also wore unisex Jeremy Scott meggings/mantights.) That committment should be commended. Well played guys.
