Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)

The fashion capitals of the world; Hamburg, London, New York, LA, Duluth.

Duluth? A Duluth company called Tryon Media hopes so.

This is their fashion news room.

"The content that my colleagues here curate, the text that they write, the photos they look at from New York fashion week or from the Oscars or the Golden Globes are put together here into stories." said Markus Mueller.

Markus Mueller from the mining country of the Ruhr Valley in Germany runs the show.

Where do his reporters show the fashion stories they've written?

On an I–phone app Regalia that the company developed and markets to that device's users.

"It is an app that showcases the photos that are taken by professional photographers everywhere in the world." said Mueller.

Some of the designs coming in to the apps editors are a little more way out than most Northlanders would try.

However, editor Dessa Harvey thinks this collection from Rag And Bone could fly here.

"I could definitely see Duluth getting into this trend; lots of bundling up, sweaters, hats, keeping warm." said Harvey.

So, how did a fashion conscious fellow like Martin Mueller get from Germany to the Northland?

He married Duluthian Lara Signorelli after the couple met in France.

She has plans to someday introduce high fashion here above and beyond the Regalia I–phone app.

"Funny you should ask that. I don't think I'll reveal any plans in the works but, yes." said Signorelli.

Those plans could include our own Northland fashion runway shows.

Markus and Lara are pleased with how the company and its signature product are doing.

He urges anyone with a dream to go for it.

"The advice to anybody who is an entrepreneur who would like to start a company is believe in your idea. Pursue it with everything you have!" said Mueller.

In Duluth, Dave Anderson, KBJR 6 and Range 11.

KDLH 3.

Right now, the Regalia fashion news app is only available for the Apple I–phone.

That may change in the future, though, as Tryon Media expands.
