Auburn gameday: fans use fashion to show off their team pride on Saturday ... - al.com

AUBURN, Alabama -- After two weeks away from the Plains, Tiger fans were back to tailgating on the quad at Auburn University on Saturday afternoon before their beloved team takes on the Ole Miss Rebels at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Though the Tigers won't kick off until 6 p.m., the campus was already full of activity as fans chowed down on hamburgers and strolled around the boutique's surrounding Toomer's Corner before the game.

While it's technically fall now, the day still had a touch of summer heat so most tailgaters dressed to stay cool. Ladies sported shorts, tank tops and sundresses while guys wore their orange and blue T-shirts and button downs.

"It's fun to come out here and see what everyone's wearing," said Samantha Clarke. "Everyone's dressed to show off their pride so it really is a like a big Auburn family gathering."
