LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- You've heard of a food truck, but what about a fashion truck. We take you inside Sandi's Styles, a boutique on wheels.
"I could not make up my mind where I wanted to locate a boutique," said Sandi West, owner of Sandi's Styles.
So she decided to set up shop all over the area.
West said, "Between LaGrange, Shelbyville, Eminence, Henry County, it was the solution, I could go everywhere."
The truck wasn't always fit for fashion, it use to respond to your worst plumbing nightmares.
"It was solid white and it was all aluminum inside but I just had this vision I think everybody else couldn't believe was I was doing," said West.
It took three months for Sandi to turn the old plumbing truck, into a show stopper.
West said, "Just designing and penciling and drawing it all up and it came to life."
But Sandi hit a few roadblocks along the way. There are rules and regulations that come with a traveling trunk show.
West said, "You have to have a business license in each city that you operate and you're not allowed to park just pull up randomly on the street, unless you're invited from someone and you have to have permission from the property owner."
Business is on a roll, and Sandi hopes to bring more of her styles to the streets of Kentuckiana.
"This fashion truck brings a lot of happiness, when you go down the road people are smiling and waving," said West.
Sandi's Styles recently launched a website for online business. You can order directly from her website at http://ift.tt/1lfpEsN
